Well, we've been awaiting Diablo 3 because it was officially announced in 2008 (and well before that), but I'm willing to bet this one is going to be worth the wait. Despite rumors, the Diablo 3 release date has officially been pushed back, although Blizzard maintains that the title is going to be released in early months of 2012.

“With every game we make, the temptation is always very strong to launch as soon as possible," Morhaime added. "However, we didn't put so many years of work into Diablo 3 release a a game that was almost ready..."
The commitment of quality sounds good, and fortunately, the suspected new release time frame is not remote. Blizzard has also stated that they'll make use of the extra time to extend the Diablo 3 beta testing phase, possibly adding more testers. This can give the developers a chance to find out more about how gamers approach Diablo 3, and fine-tune facets of the game including the in-game auction house accordingly, making for a general better experience for that gamer.
